In Book III (Orange Onyx): Shadowland is the home of all humanity’s shadows, but one day their orange onyx portal explodes and they cannot reach Earth. Ruby Scott is their only hope and goes on a quest for a new orange onyx, meeting ravens, a silver owl, and a phoenix along the way. She is joined by a small whirlwind of talking sand, and together they race against time to find the jewel, because people back on Earth are starting to notice that they don’t have any shadows.
In Book IV (Yellow Amethyst): A rare yellow amethyst is stolen from the grave of an ancient chieftain. Ruby and Scarlett head towards the Land of Dragons to recover the jewel.

In Book VI (Blue Moonstone) – Ruby Scott is in a coma after a road accident. In order for Ruby to return to her body, she needs to find and use a blue moonstone. Aided by a crystal dwarf and an emerald elf, Ruby retrieves the blue moonstone – but will she pass the tests to allow her to use it?
In Book VII (Indigo Pearl) – Ruby searches for a unique indigo pearl stolen from a group of endangered mussels in Cornwall.
In Book VIII (Purple Opal): Scarlett’s father, Doug, falls ill with a disease which makes him glow in the dark. The only cure is the dust of a purple opal – a gem which does not exist. Ruby and Scarlett, aided by Potch the Pixie, race against time in a quest to find a fire opal and a water opal to create the world’s only purple opal.
