Ruby Scott searches in Cornwall, England for a rare indigo pearl, stolen and made into a brooch several hundred years ago. The brooch appears first as an heirloom, then is sold and pawned, buried as an artifact, and ends up as an item in a famous auction room.
Ruby needs to retrieve it so she can return it to its Guardians, a group of magic mussels who are hiding a powerful secret. Can she get the pearl back to them in time to prevent their destruction?
